Established in 2002, Sonic University has evolved from being a small in-dealership training program to a fully comprehensive provider of Training, Development and Career Path Mobility for all Sonic Associates. Sonic University's objective is to provide each and every Sonic Associate with a comprehensive suite of Learning and Development programs designed to improve a person's competence and skill in their individual role.
Courses are designed along a tiered framework of competency; Certified, Chartered and Master. Each level is designed to raise the level in a progressive approach, methodically improving a person's skill along a clearly defined pathway of success. We utilize the latest adult learning techniques including web-based learning, video content and written reference materials. Our live event training incorporates a highly interactive environment where participants engage in Role Play, Group Exercises, Brainstorming and Knowledge Challenge Games.
Once an Associate has completed the Master level of competency, they are placed in the queue for promotion or further development. We believe that learning is the pathway to success and promotion in the Sonic Organization. In 2007, we promoted over 1,000 Sonic Associates internally. We believe tenured, well educated and competent Associates yield much greater returns for our organization as well as improved customer satisfaction and greater customer loyalty. |
